Each individual closet is custom tailored to your specific needs. Depending on how basic or elaborate you would like the space to be the cost is reflected in the design specifications for that particular space. If you have a budget we will design a plan to suit your needs while staying within the budget guidelines. Changes can always be made to enhance a design or reflect another design idea. The best way we can estimate your project cost is to have one of our Designers to your home to measure and discuss your needs. You may also stop in one of our showrooms and bring all your measurements for a ballpark. We have many displays that will give you a general idea of costs and more ideas for you home.
How long is the appointment with your designer?
Allow one hour or less for 1-3 closets. If it’s a few closets plus a garage system, home office or media center allow two hours in your schedule with our designer. How are your systems installed?
They are securely fastened to the wall studs. Whether you order a wall hanging system or a floor mounted system it will still be anchored to the wall using your wall as the backing. If your closet needs a fresh coat of paint it should be completed prior to your new system being installed, we can refer you to a painter.
Wall Hanging Systems = By far most popular securely fastened into your studs leaving floor space open for easy cleaning and an open concept. Not all companies can provide this system unless they are set-up for manufacturing. If you have been told it will fall off your wall and that its not sturdy…..this a sales tactic from a company that doesn’t have the capability to manufacture & install this system and would like you to purchase the only option they offer… a floor mounted product. Think about your kitchen cabinets…..are they still hanging on your wall?
Floor Mounted Systems = Always available and drilled into the studs same as a wall hanging system. A bottom finishing board wraps around the floor bottom for a more built-in custom look.
Backer board is not needed for systems to be structurally sound it is installed for a custom built-in look upon request and noted. Backer board can be requested with your designer and listed on your design plans for installation.
